its not showing me different vpn options for cheaper rates
This also can work for flights. Using a VPN also helps because you can change your IP address (although this could be more work for some) and you can then compare prices.

Some of the apps and sites recognize the vpn ip adress and do not let you show the websites. So it ia not the 'holy grail'.

Have you called the hotels and asked them to match those prices? By booking through the hotel, you’re safer if you need to cancel or are a member of their loyalty club and want the points.
Have you ever tried the Hotel Vouchers from Rate Punk? You pay $199 or $249 etc for the voucher, but until you buy you don't know what hotels are available and at what rates, so you might have to pay more for your stay. I'd love to have you buy one of the vouchers and then showcase the available accommodation so we can see the savings that can be made with this deal. Thanks.
