honestly i would totally do that. I dont have much of an appetite when i fly and i dehydrate myself on purpose so i'm not using the bathroom every few minutes. I'd just bring my own drinks and snacks, my switch, and a battery pack and i'm all set
Sounds worth it to me. I eat small meal before the flight and pack plenty of snacks. As for drink, 2 insulated, refillable bottles full of ice, then fill after security. Then I use single serve powdered drink tubes for flavor. Add a tablet full of locally-cached movies and books, and I'm all set.
I don’t see the problem. Most flights I’ve been on had lack of the same things usually had baggage tho

LOVE zipair, the food tasted really good and my flight was CHEEAP. It was 9 hours and I was comfy enough in economy.
If it's a 14 hour flight, then 1,000 is definitely worth it.

Just show up early to the airport, grab 3 meals from different places, maybe pick up a snack/candy or two from a shop and you're set
