How to Find Last-Minute Caribbean Deals (Without Overpaying)
Last-minute Caribbean deals can look amazing — but they don’t show up everywhere.
In this video, I’ll walk you through the simple strategy I use to consistently find strong last-minute resort bargains in places like Cancun, Punta Cana, and other high-competition beach markets.
You’ll see:
• Where last-minute deals actually show up
• The one filter I always use first
• How to quickly spot red flags in reviews
• And the biggest mistake that causes many travelers to overpay
If you understand how inventory, airfare, and competition work together, finding a great last-minute Caribbean deal becomes much more predictable.

Quick question — have you ever scored a great last-minute Caribbean deal?
Puerto Vallarta's not a good idea at the moment either (see my previous post) due to some kind of backlash from a cartel boss's killing by Mexican authorities.
I think Varadero's out of the question right now for Canadian travelers, since none of your planes can refuel there and all flights have been canceled (I'm posting this on March 2nd 2026). At this writing I can still fly to Havana from Paris with Air France, but my Cuban FB friends recently begged me not to come so I've canceled my Varadero trip completely. La Romana is now my plan B.
Do you feel like you get a better deal booking your airfare separately than the resort through Expedia? I’ve used Expedia package deals but never booked air and room separately
Good video.
Pretty insightful! A lot of good information here.
Thanks for the information.
