Hotels in Tokyo have gone wayyyyy more expensive lately. I am traveling there in November for the 5th time but I am really struggling to find an affordable option. I have a budget of max 170 usd per night but we are three people (me and my two brothers). I've always stayed in Shinkuku, Shibuya and paid less than what my budget is currently and stayed at decent places. Can you recommend any alternative areas to stay that are well connected and have lots of bars/izakayas so that we don't need to take transport late at night after a few drinks?
