  1. Just had very bad experience with Agoda.
    Would not recommend them.
Many of their rooms are NOT hotels and the photos they use have no relation to the actual rooms.
My room door was smashed and could bit be locked or even closed.
It took me over 3 months to get a refund through my debit card

  2. Great video, the only thing to criticise is to say that everybody that was once online heard of Trivago, they spam their ads even in TV constantly. But I checked it just now and it really helps to get a good overview without checking to many sides on your own.

  3. Trip advisor also pulls up a bunch of scam sites that have horrible ratings (you know, because they're scams… they take your money, you show up at the hotel, and your reservation doesn't exist, your money is gone, and don't hold your breath for a refund, lol). At the end of the day, be careful of who you share your credit card number with. Also, hotel price matching guarantees are a complete joke. I just spent two hours of my life arguing with Hilton over a few dollars just to find out that they will make up pretty much anything to NOT do a price match, even if what they are pulling out of their back side doesn't exist on their own price match page. The greed of big corporate hotels is astonishing.

  4. Interesting that you don't mention Airtbnb. It might be not listed in the other hotel sites but net best price can be often found in Airbnb compared to other sites as it is direct listing. Meaning the same area in the same city would have better overall price.

  5. this video was super informative and I appreciate the insights! however, I wonder if some of these "cheap" options really compromise on quality and customer service. have anyone else had mixed experiences with budget hotels?

  6. Please allow the screenshots and video footage to stay on the screen longer. You take them away too soon, and it's very frustrating. We don't need as much time with the camera pointed at you.

  7. Have you ever checked the Voyin app, they rebook you automatically when they find you a better deal. So you don't need to surf all websites continuously. Their AI handles it all for you and automatically rebook you when a better offer is found. Sometimes the app even fixes a room upgrade or includes a breakfast.

  8. Going to taboga island from panama city so many questions first transportation from A to B then can you recommend not too expensive hotel on or near beach or near beach any travel agency you recommend?. Thank you great video.

  9. Great stuff, thanks. I actually have risked a one night booking through super, risking the sms spam. None has materialized so far. Also they were proactive when the hotel I booked at closed, offering me a refund or a move to another hotel. Though they haven't sent me a voucher and are not replying to my emails… But the new hotel confirms it has my booking. We'll see next month what happens. So, for now, I rate them as "iffy reviews, suspicious, but maybe worth a punt if they're cheap and you've got a plan B if it all goes pear-shaped?".

  10. The "Super" website that requires you enter a phone number used to be called Snap Travel. I've used it several times for last minute hotels in Florida, NY, Las Vegas and Nashville. Each time it found me considerably lower prices than everyone else. In fact, in Nashville the front desk lady was surprised I got the room for half of what they were advertising it. To get around the phone number verification I use my Google voice number instead of my cell. It's an extra step but well worth the trouble to get a large discount.

  11. Good video. I have gotten good prices doing something similar except the room I get is the sh_ttiest in the building. Bad wifi, hard bed and noisy room. How can we make sure we are getting decent room??

  12. AGODA IS familiar, But tripadvisor, great advice sometimes, but more often than not out of date, and so subjective to the point of inaccuracy eg they had an axe to grind!!
i have never found any bargains on skyscanner!! always seem pricey!!

  13. You get the best price when you only book for 1 night and then go directly to the hotel where you want to check-in. Discounts are biggest then, often 30-50% off of what any hotel booking websites would charge.
